Modular Sales Deck

The Ask
I was asked by the Business Development team to produce a modular easily adaptable sales deck. Guaranteed Irish membership is open to every sector so it needed to be flexible across all sectors but also adaptable to the specific needs or customer that sales was targeting.


Base Deck
I started with a base level template that includes essentials such as who we and what we do. Previous decks had issues with bloat and confused hierarchy with images and information stacked and replaced again and again over many months.
My primary goal was to put the information front and centre in a clear and readable way. I also wanted to make sure the deck was editable in a way that would resist a build up of clutter and erode the message. I created pre-formatted text and images boxes where the content can be replaced without distorting or overloading the slides.



Additional Content
I worked with the Business Development team to implement their new pricing structure in four tiers; presenting the services available for each level. I also worked with the marketing and retention teams to gather information on services and opportunities I can present to the Business Development team for use in the deck.
The deck itself can be split into the four tiers by simply deleting the blocks of excess slides.
Sector Specific
I created additional folders with sector specific imagery, testimonials and statistics that can be easily dropped in to transform the deck from a generic one to, for example, a construction specific one.


Ongoing Work and Feedback
Once a month I scheduled a meeting with the team to see how they are getting on with the deck, any issues they are running into and any changes or additions that might be needed. For any additional or bespoke slides I was available for the team to reach out to me.
The BD team found the deck easy to use, clear and very effective. I reached out to customers after the presentation and the feedback was similar. They loved it, felt it was very clear and impactful.
Conclusion
Working closely with the other teams, in particular the Business Development team, allowed me to create something they wanted and that worked for them. The clear philosophy and objective from the start helped create something that is easy to you use, easy to absorb and effective in converting leads to sales.
